Sydney side lose out to Campbelltown Camden 1st on the road

Despite some good moments, our Sydney 1st were undone by Campbelltown Camden 1st on Saturday in NSW Premier Cricket (Men's).

The scorecard reads Sydney 1st 148 and 1/284, Campbelltown Camden 1st 10/250 and 3/46. Zeeshaan Ahmed led the way with a terrific hundred, finishing on 176 not out off 165 balls. Matt Rodgers was the star with the bat, compiling a brilliant 101 not out off 122 balls with thirteen fours and one six. Nathan Doyle provided good support with 31. Benjamin Butler was the best of the hosts' bowlers, finishing with four for 44.

With the ball, Vibhu-Sadayappan KARTHIKEYAN did the damage, claiming four for 68 off 23 overs. Credit to Jake Scott, who made a half-century (80) for our opponents. Bailey Abela made a polished 70 for the hosts, a well-deserved half-century.

A tough stretch, and one the group will be determined to end. Chins up, everyone.
