Despite a solid effort, our Sydney 1st came off second best against St George 1st in NSW Premier Cricket (Men's).
With the bat first up, we compiled 6/200 from 50 overs. Nathan Doyle posted a half-century, making 72 off 108 balls with five fours. Matt Rodgers chipped in with 39.
In reply, St George 1st passed our total, finishing on 3/204 in 29.2 overs. The hosts' Blake Nikitaras made a quality 112 not out. Hunter Hall starred with the ball, taking two for 66.
There were some polished individual efforts to build on. We will be looking to get back in the winning column soon.
We'll go again.
