Saturday belonged to our Sydney 2nd, who took the honours against Penrith 2nd on home soil.
The side batted first and reached 7/282 from 50 overs. A classy 59 off 81 balls from Chaitnya Sharma was the highlight. Daniel Mullen's 57 off 53 balls was a half-century to remember. Credit to Chris de Kretser, who took three for 55 for Penrith 2nd.
Our opponents were all out for 248 in 47 overs in reply. Manan Dave posted 65 for the visitors, a quality fifty. Kaine Balgowan chipped in with 45 for our opponents. Charlie Howard finished with five for 42, a five-wicket haul to savour. Thomas Mullen added two for 54.
It was a great all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up. That's back-to-back wins for the team.
Well done to everyone involved.
