There was no joy for our Sydney 4th, who went under to UNSW 4th on a frustrating day.
The group batted first and reached 9/232 from 50 overs. Avijay Maharaj posted a polished hundred, making 114. William Sutton added a useful 27. UNSW 4th's best with the ball was Zachary Nicholls (four for 35).
In reply, our opponents passed our total, finishing on 7/233 in 48.1 overs. The visitors' best was a half-century from Gus Cassim, who made 69. Callum McCall was the pick of the bowlers, taking two for 38 off ten overs.
There were some stylish individual efforts to build on.
Chins up, everyone.
