It just wasn't our day: our Sydney Men's Kingsgrove Sports T20 had to give best to Randwick Petersham on a day to learn from.
We batted first and finished with 8/116 on the board from 20 overs. Matt Rodgers top-scored with 28 off 27 balls. There were also handy runs from William Fort (20). Param Uppal was the pick of Randwick Petersham's bowlers with three for 12.
The hosts knocked off the runs, finishing on 6/120 in 16 overs. Fifty for Jack Wood, who made 65 for our opponents. With the ball, Thomas Mullen did the damage, claiming four for 33 off four overs.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one.
It's been a tough run, and we'll be working hard to turn it around. Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
