It was a disappointing outing for our Sydney Poidevin-Gray Shield, who were undone by Sydney University away from home on Sunday.
Sydney University finished on 10/262, and we finished on 10/199. Hunter Hall's 44 off 71 balls was the highlight with the bat. Vansh Bhatia played a handy knock of 38. KOBI ROBINSON did the damage for our opponents with four for 34.
The hosts' best was a half-century from Hayden McCarthy, who made 65. ROBINSON added 43 for our opponents. The wickets were shared around, with Vibhu-Sadayappan KARTHIKEYAN taking four for 42. Hats off to Ethan Mear for a maiden in a T20 game.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again.
Well played to the hosts.
