It was an excellent day for our Sydney W2, who were too good for St George-Sutherland W2 by a whopping eight wickets.
St George-Sutherland W2 set the target, making 10/67 from 28.1 overs. Tara McCall bowled beautifully to finish with three for 3. Laura Metry bowled impressively for two for 7.
In reply, the side reached the target at 2/70 in 15 overs. Holly Halford-Smith remained unbeaten with 31 off 39 balls.
Getting that first win of the season on the board is a superb moment for the girls.
Thanks to the hosts for the contest.
