At Oval 1, our Sydney W3 fell short against Manly Warringah W3 on a frustrating day.
Manly Warringah W3 set the target, making 4/277 from 40 overs. Fifty for Sophie Beukers, who made 52 for the visitors. Credit to Emily Hatfield, who made a half-century (51) for our opponents.
In reply, the side were all out for 58 in 18 overs. Kylie Hocknell batted well for 29 off 33 balls with six fours. The visitors' Mia Nel was the standout with the ball, taking five for 7. Our opponents also got three for 26 from Lily Crabbe.
The visitors were too strong this time around.
