Our Sydney W3 lost their match against Sydney University W3 in a disappointing result.
The girls batted first and reached 8/115 from 40 overs. Cathy Avery was the pick of our batters with 27 off 105 balls. Lily Bradford was the best of Sydney University W3's bowlers, finishing with four for 20.
The visitors knocked off the runs, finishing on 3/116 in 13.5 overs. Credit to Bradford, who made a half-century (51) for our opponents. Kylie Hocknell was the pick of our bowlers with two for 23.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. The results haven't gone our way lately, but the team will keep at it. We'll look to bounce back against St George-Sutherland W3 next Saturday.
