Despite some good moments, our Sydney W3 had to give best to Gordon W3 in a disappointing result.
Gordon W3 batted first and made 6/205 from 40 overs. Eva Jenns batted well for the hosts, making 41 off 85 balls. Our best with the ball was Darien Dubb-Lynch, who took two for 13.
Chasing 206, we reached 9/159 from 40 overs. Dubb-Lynch carried on to an unbeaten 38 off 38 balls. Cathy Avery finished 23 not out off 95 balls. Lara Jenns took a six-wicket haul for our opponents, finishing with six for 31.
Credit to the hosts, who played well.
We'll go again.
