It wasn't to be for our Sydney 5th, who couldn't get past Bankstown 5th in one to put behind us.
We batted first and finished with 9/177 on the board from 45 overs. Mitchell Harrison led the way with 36 off 54 balls with four fours. Rashmintha Walawage chipped in with 30.
In reply, Bankstown 5th passed our total, finishing on 4/179 in 41.1 overs. Credit to Mathew Kelly, who made a half-century (52) for our opponents. With the ball, Syed Rayyan Kazmi did the damage, claiming two for 36 off nine overs.
Plenty to take out of this one.
A tough stretch, and one the side will be determined to end. Congratulations to the visitors on the win.
