It was a day to regroup for our Sydney 5th, who lost out to Penrith 5th at Rance Oval in NSW Premier Cricket (Men's).
Batting first, Penrith 5th posted 9/246 from 50 overs. Fifty for Ekam Singh Bhambra, who made 67 not out for our opponents. Fletcher Russell posted 61 for the hosts, a polished fifty. Ali Bajwa led the way with the ball, finishing with three for 40.
Our chase ended at 205 from 47.4 overs. Josh Harrold made a cracking 53 off 76 balls, a well-made fifty. Caden de Sayrah-Blood weighed in with 45 off 50 balls. Credit to Brendon Vella, who took four for 35 for our opponents.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. On to the next one.
