Saturday didn't go our way, as our Sydney Men's Kingsgrove Sports T20 were denied by St George despite Matt Rodgers's 33.
St George's innings closed at 2/228 from 20 overs. Sam Heazlett posted 91 for the hosts, a quality fifty. Blake Nikitaras posted 65 for our opponents, a good fifty.
Needing 229 to win, we finished on 9/153 from 20 overs. The top score came from Matt Rodgers, who made 33 off 28 balls. William Fort added a useful 26 off 19 balls.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with.
Thanks to the hosts for the contest.
