Despite a solid effort, our Sydney Poidevin-Gray Shield went down to Northern District on a tough day.
We posted 10/148, and Northern District 201. Vibhu-Sadayappan KARTHIKEYAN top-scored, making 30 off 51 balls. Vansh Bhatia added a useful 28 off 50 balls. Our opponents' best with the ball was Harry Campbell (four for 27).
Xander Carstens made a polished 51 for the visitors, a well-deserved half-century. Thomas Blowes starred with the ball, taking two for 9. A special mention to Charlie Howard, who bowled a maiden.
Plenty to take out of this one. It's been a tough run, and we'll be working hard to turn it around.
Credit to our opponents, and well played.
