Despite a solid effort, our Sydney Women's Kingsgrove Sports T20 Cup fell to Bankstown by 23 runs.
Batting first, Bankstown posted 7/114 from 20 overs. Neha Joshua posted 55 not out for our opponents, a polished fifty. Nell Bryson-Smith led the way with the ball, finishing with two for 15.
In reply, we finished on 8/91 from 20 overs. Olivia Maxwell was the pick of our batters with 38 off 44 balls. There were also handy runs from Daisy Webster (27). Joshua took a five-wicket haul for the visitors, finishing with five for 5.
Plenty to take out of this one.
The team will be keen to turn things around after two straight losses. We'll go again.
