It was a day to regroup for our Sydney 5th, who had to give best to Penrith 5th on a frustrating day.
Batting first, we posted 6/269 from 50 overs. Rishabh Asher led the way with a superb hundred, finishing on 103 not out off 148 balls. Alex Gowthorp contributed 46 off 48 balls. Nathan Breen added a useful 38 off 25 balls.
Penrith 5th reached the target at 2/272 in 45.2 overs. Hats off to Lachlan Hood, whose 112 not out was a classy century for our opponents.
The visitors were too strong this time around.
It's been a tough run, and we'll be working hard to turn it around. Back to the nets, and on to the next one.
