In NSW Premier Cricket (Men's) action, our Sydney 1st were unable to get the better of Eastern Suburbs 1st with lessons to take away.
Over the course of the match we totalled 294, and Eastern Suburbs 1st 10/335. Matt Rodgers posted a stylish hundred, making 120 off 222 balls. William Fort's 59 off 113 balls was a half-century to remember. Harry Conway returned four for 61 for our opponents.
Vibhu-Sadayappan KARTHIKEYAN claimed an excellent five-wicket haul, finishing with five for 111. Benjamin Roughan claimed two for 52 as well. Credit to Johnny Connell, who made a century (112) for the hosts.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with. We will be looking to get back in the winning column soon.
We'll go again.
